Some more infrastructure changed hands over the weekend. Macquarie Infrastructure Partners IV and Netrality’s management team have partnered up to buy Netrality from Abrams Capital Management.
Netrality operates key data centers in Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, St. Louis, and Kansas City, each being one of this most connected locations in its market. It has been a few years now since they bought anything new, but with Macquarie now backing them that could change very quickly.
Australia-based Macquarie has had one of the biggest appetites for infrastructure lately, with one fund or another of theirs making deals around the world for fiber, colo, and everything in between. Just yesterday they finished a deal for Bluebird with Uniti, and over the summer they announced deals for both Voneus and KCOM over in the UK.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
