MetroX Establishes a Point of Presence at a Netrality Property Data Center

MetroX brings secure post-production services and real-time collaboration to the carrier-neutral interconnection facility in New York City

December 6, 2016 – Netrality Properties, owner and operator of network-neutral carrier hotels and colocation facilities, announces MetroX, a division of Metropolitan Entertainment, has established a Point of Presence (PoP) at 325 Hudson in New York City. The new PoP gives 325 Hudson’s carrier and enterprise customers full access to MetroX’s suite of services, which include pay as you go transport between New York City and Los Angeles, and a custom storage service for the media production and studio eco-system.

MetroX enables the use and exchange of data for the entertainment community by allowing the delivery of files in real-time. By utilizing a high bandwidth network from 325 Hudson in New York City to the studio located at 650 South Grand Avenue in Los Angeles, the exchange platform offers a secure and cost effective connection that can be used on an as needed basis with no ongoing cost obligation. This PoP will alleviate bottlenecks in data delivery and will begin to localize the media and entertainment markets to 325 Hudson.

“MetroX will leverage its presence at 325 Hudson to further support the professional media and entertainment industry through camera, collaboration, cloud storage and distribution,” says AJ Ullman, CEO of MetroX. “With our latest PoP fully established at 325 Hudson, we can now offer a true alternative to physically shipping hard drives, along with storage and post-production services to the meet me room.”

“The MetroX deployment is the result of AJ Ullman’s determination to put post-production at the network core, leveraging physical proximity to networks, which effectively creates a converged digital data architecture to cost effectively support the on-demand nature of his business,” states Hunter Newby, partner in the 325 Hudson venture. “Quality levels, transport cost considerations and no monthly recurring cross connect fees combined with access to multiple domestic and international transport systems and Internet peering exchanges make 325 Hudson a perfect fit to support the emerging volume of digital and high definition work within the media and entertainment industry.”
